Slow Mount is a companion perk that applies only to slow pack animals. This perk reduces the base sanity cost of traveling by 25% (from 5 to 3 on normal difficulty).
Only pack animal can be ridden as a mount at a time. A mounted animal loses ~50% of their cargo capacity while being ridden.
Slow animal companions include: Water Buffalo, Donkey, Chasmosaurus, Giant Tortoise.
Tips[]
- This does not effect the separate travel-cost of terrain - only the single base-cost of travel applied to every travel leg.
- Though this perk has lower stats than Medium and Fast Mounts, the % rounds up, making both Slow and Medium mounts have the same effect on normal difficulty.
- This can stack with the explorer perk Impetus to lower the base travel cost even further.
