Scottish Soldiers are strong companions whose perk increases the amount of Sanity gained when consuming Whisky. This can be a frustrating ability, as Whisky can only be obtained affordably at port in London, and carries the risk of triggering Alcoholism when drinking at low Sanity. Even so, these soldiers have very high toughness and are worthy combat allies. They can normally be recruited only in London.
May start with the following ailments: Alcoholic (20%), Superstitious (15%), Sexist (10%), Racist (10%), Claustrophobic (5%), Kleptomania (5%), none (35%).
A Scottish soldier is a starting companion for explorers Charles Darwin, Dion Fortune, H. P. Lovecraft and Isabella Bird as well as secret explorers Aeryn, Baron Victor von Paragon, G.K. Norman, Johannes Kristmann and Kai.
