Animal handlers are companions whose perks increase the capacity of all animal companions, as well as the starting Standing of each expedition. They greatly help in a pacifist strategy when paired with multiple pack animals, but provide little benefit alone.
An animal handler who is recruited from a village will automatically be afflicted by the Local ailment.
