Lieutenant Konrad is a unique enemy that is only spawned after accepting the Find Deserter quest. He is always found in a village, and will be hostile and trigger combat no matter how the player initially interacts with him.
Once killed, the player is awarded Konrad's military decoration and the gratitude of the natives in the form of +2 Standing. The player is awarded Funds separately for completion of the quest upon return to London.
Combat[]
Konrad rolls three upgraded dice, but isn't very smart when selecting combos. He usually uses Attack, Defend, Kick, or Evade.
Trivia[]
Both the story and the name of that NPC are likely references to the 1899 book by Joseph Conrad, titled Heart of Darkness, and its 1979 movie adaptation, Apocalypse Now.
