Jungle Fever is a temporary physical ailment that can effect both companions and explorers. It lasts for ~30 days, reducing health regeneration by 75% and therefore hampering one's ability to recover from injury. It also prevents the player from promoting a sick companion.
It can be acquired when traveling or resting at low Sanity. When resting in a village, a child villager may ask for a hug - allowing the hug has a chance of catching the fever, while refusing causes -1 Standing.
It can be cured by resting at Healing Springs or asking for healing at a Shaman Hut.
