When a stone idol is present in a village, resting overnight grants the option to try and steal it with a successful roll. Attempting the theft costs standing and forces the party to leave the village immediately after, without resting. A failed attempt costs more standing and triggers Angry Natives to pursue the party across the map.
A companion with kleptomania will steal the idol if the player opts not to attempt the theft, which is revealed after leaving the village. The player can then opt to take back the idol from the klepto companion.
