Holy Marking is one of few, randomly assigned blessings a chosen humanoid companion may gain when exploring temples. There is also a secret explorer and companion that starts with this perk.
It increases the base Standing of every expedition by +3 (including the current one). In addition, an event may trigger when you enter a village when your Standing is -2 or higher, which will grant you an immediate +4 Standing boost.
Like all other blessings, the effect is permanent. If you have two characters with this perk, the effects will stack.
Tips[]
- The marking can be useful in pacifist strategies, especially in combination with Polyglot and Pacifist perks, but is also useful for hunting parties that constantly lose standing.
- High standing eases the recruitment of new companions at villages, and also allow for more shrine looting and wildlife-slaying before triggering angry natives to chase the group.
