Fast Mount is a companion perk that applies only to fast pack animals. This perk reduces the base sanity cost of traveling by 45% (from 5 to 2 on normal difficulty).
Only pack animal can be ridden as a mount at a time. A mounted animal loses ~50% of their cargo capacity while being ridden.
Fast animal companions include: Raptor, Parasaurolophus.
Tips[]
- This does not affect the separate travel cost of terrain - only the single base cost of travel applied to every travel leg.
- This perk is the superior version of the Medium and Slow Mounts, so pack animals with this ability should be prioritized as mounts.
- This can stack with the explorer perk Impetus to lower the base travel cost even further.
