Diplomat James Sterling is a special companion that acts as a Parsi Trader, with slightly higher Toughness and a different 2nd combat die. He is normally only found randomly in London as a recruit option. However, the secret explorers Olivia White and Rafal Sokulski start with him in their party; these two can potentially recruit a second James Sterling in London!

Tips[]
- Sterling's dice combo is usually more useful than the Parsi Trader's. Other small differences between him and the Trader include:
- Sterling will not be targeted by racists.
- Sterling does not have the random camping event where a Trading Caravan is revealed.
- Sterling never starts with any ailments.
