A Curse is a unique ailment that can afflict a companion when profaning a tomb in Desert worlds. Sanity does not influence this chance. A cursed companion will suffer no symptoms, but will always die upon return to London if the ailment isn't cleansed before then.
Like all mental ailments, it may be cured with a Green Mushroom. Usually, this ailment cannot be cleansed at a Shaman Hut or Temple, since those locations do not spawn in Deserts, though the larger maps in later expeditions may have a secondary biome that does contain said locations.
