A cenote is a special location resembling a water-filled sinkhole. The player may choose to look into the well at night, this may reveal the location of the Golden Pyramid, unlock a new world, or may lead to a quest. (outdated info - pretty sure it can only unlock new worlds now - needs verification)
In Curious Expedition: RIVALS, looking into the well will instead completely reveal a random region.
