Angry Natives are an enemy group, most commonly spawned when the player reaches minimum (-10) Standing. Their parties are composed of a mix of warriors, scouts and shamans, from 3 to 8 natives in total.
Warriors come with an endless supply of Spears, which they will use every turn, making larger groups quite deadly. Shamans are also dangerous because they can heal the whole group during combat. Fortunately, the computer is not very smart when using dice and will often use suboptimal combos.
Angry natives are automatically aggro'd and continuously spawn from their villages, never losing their aggro status and continuously chasing the party until destroyed.

Occurrence[]
- Refusing to pay restitution to a group that has been following you will elicit a single attack from angry natives. Such groups will always consist of 3 native warriors.
- Stealing an Idol Statue from a village and failing a die roll (to do so stealthily) will lock the expedition out of that village, causing it to continually generate Angry Natives to attack you. Your standing will also decrease by -3.
- Your standing falling to -10 will lock you out of all native villages and they will all continually generate Angry Natives.
Loot[]
Defeating a party of angry natives will yield a selection of item types typically found in village inventories. There will be one of the following per defeated native, though some items are more likely to appear than others:
Common:
- 2 food items, selected randomly from the following:
- Mango (50% chance)
- Red Berries (25% chance)
- Coca Leaves (25% chance)
Note: In arctic worlds, all food items will be replaced by Muktuk.
Average:
- Spear
- 2x Rope
- Horn Flute
- Torch
Uncommon:
- Red Mushroom
- Blue Mushroom
- Green Mushroom
- Yellow Mushroom
- random treasure item worth 50 Fame or 40 Funds
Notes[]
- Because these groups are typically triggered at minimum Standing and make villages inaccessible, their spawning renders the possibility of raising Standing impossible.
- Angry natives count as free-roaming creatures, and will decrease standing by 1 if killed.
- Lizard villages will spawn Angry Lizardpeople instead of Angry Natives.
- The appearance of angry natives is procedurally generated. All natives will share some elements with other members of their tribe, such as skin color, style of clothing and jewelry, etc.
